Q&A |
While this workshop is primarily for Precentors, it will also be open to other members of the congregations for the purpose of learning and improving the comprehension of musical theory. Those who wish to learn more about music and the psalter for the purposes of family worship will also be welcome to attend any of the sessions, though the Friday evening talks would be more applicable to that context.
The workshops will be led by Rev. Brian Wright, pastor of the Sterling RPC in Kansas USA. Rev. Wright grew up in the RP church Cambridge, Massachusetts where he was trained to lead the psalms in worship. He attended Geneva College where he completed a minor in music and then the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Over the past twenty years, he has led the singing in a number of different RP congregations benefitting from training from experienced precentors in each place.
